Speaking and Teaching

Conversations for work that carries responsibility and requires care.

These talks examine how language, identity, and creative thinking shape work that requires precision and nuanced communication. They are designed for audiences navigating complexity, where clarity, care, and being understood well are not optional, but essential.

Speaking Themes

Each talk is tailored to the audience and context. Speaking explores the following themes:

Clarity, Meaning, and Responsibility

How work is shaped, and sometimes distorted, through language and expression, particularly in high-trust or public-facing contexts where misinterpretation carries real consequence. Why clarity is not simplification, and why being understood well is a responsibility rather than a branding preference.

Identity, Narrative, and Translation

Why “telling your story” is not the same as being understood. This theme speaks to founders, practitioners, and institutions whose identities are complex, evolving, or easily misread. Translating depth into coherent public expression, clarifying the difference between visibility and legibility, and helping audiences communicate who they are without flattening meaning or over-explaining.

Creative Thinking in Leadership and Practice

How creative thinking acts as a catalyst for shaping complex work responsibly. This theme is relevant for leaders and teams navigating change, ambiguity, or growth, where standard frameworks fall short. How creativity supports meaningful change, not through inspiration alone, but through integrity, consequence, and care in how ideas take form and decisions are carried forward.

Work, Loss, and Lived Experience

How lived experience informs judgment, pacing, and care, particularly in work that touches people’s lives. This theme speaks to practitioners, leaders, and organizations navigating sensitive or high-stakes contexts, where tone, timing, and expression matter as much as accuracy. Why professional language can still be unsafe, how care shows up structurally, and how communication can support trust without minimizing or aestheticizing human experience.
